| Bio Information: | Scottish artist Lizzie Sanders’ artworks in watercolor demonstrate not only a mastery of dry-brush watercolor but also a unique approach to composition. Trained as a graphic designer, she founded her own design firm in 1990. When asked why she loves botanical art, she quips, “Well, graphic designers are obsessive control freaks. We thrive on making every tiny detail correct, every spatial relationship perfect. Botanical art meets my need for perfection.” Her artworks have been exhibited in Scotland, the UK, and US and are widely collected in personal and public collections. Her artwork was chosen for Royal Horticultural Society Chelsea Flower Show plate, and she has been awarded numerous gold medals for her work at the Royal Horticultural Society exhibits. |
