Carol Woodin

Classes: Watercolor on Vellum

Bio Information: Carol Woodin is a self-taught painter, born in Salamanca, New York and is a master in the art of watercolor on vellum.

Her most recent group exhibitions include The World Orchid Conference, Vancouver, BC in 1999, Botanical Artists of the World, Tryaon & Swann, London in 1998, The Horticultural Society of New York in 1988, The American Society of Botanical Artists Invitational, Delaware Centre for Horticulture, Wilmington Delaware 1998 and Celebrating Orchids, Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, 1997.

Her work is part of collections in the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, the Hunt Institute for Botanical Documentation in Pittsburgh, PA and the Niagara Parks Commission in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada.

She has received numerous awards, including Best of Show from the National Capitol Orchid Society, Silver Medal from the World Orchid Congress in Scotland, and Award for Excellence in Botanical Art from the American Society of Botanical Artists.

Carol is an accomplished educator with over 7 years experience in teaching her art form. This is her first full 3-day workshop outside of the Eastern Seaboard.
